‘For Verve Mix 21, multidisciplinary creative wizard Ehzi has created ‘88.8’, a meditative audiovisual experience to match their hypnotic mix.’
88.8 is a piece created out of footage shot across Taiwan, Japan, and Australia over two years. It was re-edited, distorted and rebuilt in response to selected sound works. Watch the full audiovisual piece above, and check out the audio component here as part of the Vervemix series.
This was also performed live at the Genre Spanner 5th Birthday Event. The live visuals included dual overlapping projections within a self built structure to accompany the selection of tracks. Some moments from the performance below.
